I like to think that life is a mosaic of unexpected encounters and adventures that push us out of our comfort zone.
2021 was a year of profound changes for me, a chapter that marked a turning point after the long months of post-COVID isolation and uncertainty.
I was in Paris and I dedicated myself to my work as a physiotherapist, with the days passing by frenetically but monotonously in a routine that had swallowed me up.
My life, although professionally rewarding, was pervaded by a feeling of stasis.
But, as happens in the best films, just when you don't expect it , an encounter completely changed my life.
Everything happened very quickly .
A stroke of love at first sight upset all my certainties.
When he proposed that we move together to the Ivory Coast , I was surprised, but something inside me awakened . The desire to dream and explore has been reborn.
After only a month of knowing each other, I decided to leave with him.
Four months after our first meeting, we were already together in an apartment in Abidjan, ready to start a new life together .
Abidjan was not only a new city to discover, but also represented the possibility of writing a new chapter in my life.
I was finally able to abandon the chains of my old routine and I rediscovered the freedom to explore, to take time for myself and to reconnect with what truly makes me happy .
I felt like a little girl starting from scratch .
Every day was a new discovery, with the joy and effort of learning to do something for the first time. Falls were inevitable , like those of a child starting to take his first steps, but there was also the certainty that learning to walk would take me far .
I rediscovered my hands .
Those same hands that I used every day to relieve my patients' pain, guide exercises or support uncertain steps, became hands that wanted to create . They wanted to generate something new, give shape to new objects , probably in the same way I was shaping a new me.
I know you're curious about what MG means . But to find out, you'll have to wait a little longer.
Stay tuned for the next article, in which I will continue to tell you my story and reveal the meaning hidden under this acronym.
See you soon,
Silvia
